VoiceXML is a new language which bridges two great-global networks: the public telephone network and the World Wide Web. VoiceXML browsers provide an interface between a caller on a standard telephone and an application running on the Web. You can think of the telephone as the input / output device for the voice browser, playing the same role as the screen, keyboard and mouse for a graphical browser. VoiceXML is based on features already available in existing Web protocols, especially HTTP. Resources such as VoiceXML pages, pre-recorded sound files and voice recognition grammars are stored on Web servers in exactly the same way as GIF and JPEG images for graphical Web sites. Existing Web servers will support VoiceXML without difficulty. VoiceXML was designed to create audio dialogs that feature • spoken input • DTMF (telephone key) input • recording of spoken input • synthesized speech • recorded audio output • dialog flow control • scoping of input Its goal is to provide voice access and interactive voice response to Web-based applications. The purpose of my implementation is to reach a calculator from a telephone by a name and password. I used ASP language for creating dynamic VoiceXML documents. In my implementation there are four files which are called main.asp, news.asp, calc.asp and news.mdb. I choose Internet Information Service IIS as a web server and IBM Websphere Voice SDK as a voice server Xml, VoiceXml, WWW, Internet |
