Bu sozlu bildiride bilgisayar ogretmeni ve egitim teknolojisi ogrencisi olarak yaptigim calismalari paylasmayi ve ogrencilerimin multimedia projelerinden orneklemeler sunmayi amacliyorum. Bugune kadar yaptigim arastirmalari ve ogrencisinden ogretmenine, mudurunden amirine kadar her seviyede verdigim bilgisayar destekli egitim derslerinden edindigim tecrubeleri bu bildiride sunmak istiyorum.

Gunumuzde bilgisayar destekli egitim her gecen gun daha da onem kazanmakta. Bununla beraber bilgisayarlarin egitim alaninda daha aktif ve uretken bir sekilde kulanilmadigina sahit olmaktayiz. Bunun baslica sebebleri arasinda egitimcilerin bilgisayar kullanmada yeterli tecrubeye sahip olmamalarini ve bilgisayarlara ulasma imkanlarinin kisitli olmasini ileri surebiliriz.

Bilgisayarlarin basarili bir sekilde kullanilmasina bir kac ornek. Orta okullarda ogrenciler yabanci dil ogrenmeye baslar baslamaz, bir cok ogrendiklerini yabanci bir mektup arkadaiyla paylasmak ister. Okullarimizda Internet olanaklarinin olmasi ograncilerin eposta ile haberlesmesini sagliyacaktir. Kidlink  ve Iearn  isimli kuruluslar bu konuda dunyanin her yerindeki ogrencileri kaynastiran iki ornek. Ogrenciler sadece yabanci dil egitimlerine katki yapmakla kalmayip, ulkelerini, kulturlerini tanitmak ve diger ulkeleri tanimak imkanina sahip olmaktadir.

Amerika’nin Maine ve Oregon eyalelteri ayni ismi tasiyan Portland isimli bir sehire sahip. From Now on  isimli bir kurulusun yardimiyla bu iki sehirden secilen iki ortaokul aralarinda bilgi alisverisine baslarlar. Sonucda iki okul birbirlerine kendi sehirleri tanitir, arkadasliklar kurulur, yazdiklari multimedia projeleri Internet sayfasina asilir. Ogrenciler, normal bir ders projesinden farkli olarak, bu projede kendi bildikleri bir cevreyi sadece ogretmenlerine degil, oralari hic gormemis ogrenci arkadaslarina tanittilar. Bu projeyi hem ilginc bir hala soktu hemde anlamli hala getirdi. 

Bir baska ornekte Amerika’nin Ohio eyaletindeki bir ilk okulda gerceklesti. Ogrenciler Sosyal bilimler derslerinde Alaska eyaletindeki baska bir ilk okuldaki arkadaslariyla siniflarindaki tek bir bilgisayarla yazisiyor. Bir gun Ohio’da okullar sifirin altinda 30 derece oldugu icin kapatiliyor. Ertesi gun bunu Alaska’daki arkadaslarina yazdiklarinda, cevap olarak sifirin altinda 30 derecenin Alaska’da cok iyi bir okul gunu oldugunu ogrendikler. National Educational Computing konferansinda, ogretmenleri siniflarindaki bu tek bilgisayarin sadece ogrencilerin degil kendi dagarcigini da artirdigini kitaplarda ogrendikleri bildileri anlamlastirdigini vurguluyorudu.

Massachusetts eyaletinin Northfield kasabasinda calistigim bir okulda Paris’teki Luvr Muzesinin resimlerinin oldugu bir laserdisk almistik. Sanat tarihi hocalarindan biri once bu resimleri sinifta ders anlatirken kullaniyordu. Sonra HyperStudio isimli bir yazilim programini derste ogrencilere tanittiktan sonra, ogrenciler donem odevlerini bilgisayarda resim, harita, ses, ve animasyon ekliyerek ogretmenlerine sundular. HyperStudio ogrenmesi kolay bir yazilim programi oldugundan kisa zaman da Yabanci dil derslerinden, fen dersine kadar hemen hemen her derste ogrenciler ve ogretmenler tarafindan kullanilir hale geldi.

Bilgisayar derslerinde vermeye calistigim mesaj, seslerin, animasyonlarin, resimlerin anlamli kullanilmasidir. Ogretmenlerinde bu yuzden ogrencileri notlamada zorlandiklarini cok gordum. Bazi ogrenciler, sirf hos gozuksun diye projelerine ses, resim gibi eklemeler yaparak ogretmenlerinin gozunu boyamaya calisirlar. Tipki Turkiye’deki donem odevlerine eklenen suslemeler gibi. 

Bu konuda yaptigimiz calismalar sonucu bazi projelerde ogretmenin projenin metnini onceden yazili istemesinin yararli oldugunu gorduk Ogrenciler, ogretmenlerinden aldiklari cevapla, projelerini bilgisayar kullanarak zenginlestirip sinifa prjectorle yansitarak sundular. Bazi projelerde de ogrencilerin ortak calismasi sonucu daha cok sey ogrendiklerine inandik. Ornegin Grupta bir ogrencinin artistik yaklasimi, digerinin iyi dilbilgisi, bir digerinin bilgisayar yazilim dilini iyi kavramasi projelerini zenginlestirmekle kalmayip, ogrendiklerini aralarinda tartisma ve paylasma imkani verdi.

Bilgisayari egitime basarili bir sekilde aktarma surecinde ogretmenlerin kendileri yetersiz hissedip, ne yapacaklarini bilemez hale geldiklerini gordum. Ozellikle konularinda yillarin tecrubesi olan hocalar ogrencilerinin onunde rezil olmak istemediklerini benim hemen yanlarinda olmamin kendilerine cok destek oldugunu soyluyorlardi.. Ogretmenlerden teknolojiyi hemen benimsemelerini istemek idareciler icin zor bir testtir. Ogretmenlere egitim teknolojisi kurslari alabilecekleri ortamlar ve zaman verilmesinin yanisira onlara bilgisayar kullanimin anlattiklari dersi nasil zenginlestirebilecegi orneklenmelidir. 

Kisaca bu bildiride bilgisayarlarin egtimdeki basarili kullanimindan okuma yazmadan fen bilgilerine, musikten sanata kadar olabilecek katkilarina orneklemeler vermeye calisacagim. Amac ogrencilerimizin daha iyi ve esit bir egitim alabilecekleri, bilgilerini paylasabilecekleri, ve uretken olabilecekleri demokrotik bir ortam yaratmak.
