Abstract + KeywordsThe Internet is growing rapidly and hence, using a web search engine has become a must for users seeking information. Google claims that they have indexed over three billion pages. As the web size grows, new problems about updates of page indexes and bandwidth needs for crawlers are introduced. In this paper, we represent a new way of information retrieval for search engines based on indexing web pages on the client side in a distributed fashion. We present the architecture of our distributed search agents (DSA). We believe that our distributed approach offers several advantages such as scalability and faster page updates.
